FAQ
We're happy to help you with any of your questions personally, but here are the answers to a few of the most commonly asked questions.
We take payment of a deposit in order to confirm your booking. We do this so that we can be sure that your chosen property is secured for you and cannot be booked by someone else.
To make a confirmed booking you will need to pay a deposit. We will advise you of this amount prior to booking. Depending upon the property owner or manager terms and conditions, the deposit will typically be 25% of the total booking value. Higher deposits may be required for some accommodation, where a booking is made close to the date of occupancy or at certain times of the year. The deposit for bookings made at Peak times will be 50% of the total booking value. If you book within 30 days of departure, typically full payment for the booking will be required at time of booking confirmation.
Full and final payment for your booking will be due prior to your planned stay at the property. Specific payment dates vary by property but typically the dates for final payment are:
Summer/ Winter Seasons – 60 days prior to arrival
Peak Season (Christmas/ New Year) – 90 days prior to arrival
If you book within 30 days of departure, full payment for the booking will be required at time of booking confirmation.
Payments can be made by either bank transfer or credit/ debit card. Banks typically carry out a payee verification process prior to your payment to confirm that you are paying the correct payee. Banks usually also have a two-factor authentication process to ensure payments are protected. For credit/ debit card, payments are made through our accredited merchant provider, and require your full card details including security code before a payment can be taken.
To cancel a confirmed booking, the person who made the booking must contact us by phone or email. Cancellation takes effect on the date we confirm your request. If you cancel a confirmed booking, you may incur a cancellation charge depending upon the specific property and when the cancellation was made. Cancellation details are covered in the specific terms and conditions of the property owner/manager with which you have made your booking. Refunds, or deferral of your booking to alter date, are typically available from most property owners/ managers - details are provided in the terms and conditions of your booking contract with them.
The final price for your booking will be the same as that which we quote you prior to confirming your booking. The only exception to this will be if you require additional extras which are not included in the accommodation price. We will always let you know about these in advance.
Most property owners require that a refundable Security Deposit is paid prior to your stay. We will apply this amount to your confirmation/ invoice and will retain this on their behalf, unless this is payable locally, in which case we will inform you at the time of booking. The Security Deposit will be used to make good any damage to the Property (fair wear and tear excepted) for which you are responsible. Security Deposits will be returned to you within 14 days of your departure date.
We accept payment directly by bank transfer or by credit/ debit card.
Credit/ Debit Cards
We accept the following cards free of charge:
Visa Debit / Credit
MasterCard Debit / Credit

From time to time, discounts on villas and apartments are offered by their owners. We will always let you know if these are available to you when you enquire with us or before you make a booking.
There may be some occasions where additional costs may be payable, for example for rental of equipment, additional staff or groceries. In all cases we will clearly let you know about these in advance.
All prices quoted are inclusive of VAT. The current rate of VAT in Barbados is 7.5%
In addition, Barbados now levies a Shared Economy Tax of 10% of the total booking price. This tax is not included in the price but will be added to your final bill.
We encourage payments to be made by bank transfer.
If you would like to pay by credit card, we will add the following charges to your invoice:
Visa and MasterCard Credit: 2.5%
American Express: 4%
Other credit card and charge cards: 4%
